Community Productions

Community Productions is a unique company which specializes in both community and corporate styled work. It produces a weekly Television series called SchoolsInc which seeks to raise student achievement through this medium. This airs weekly on Triangle Television and nationally on Sky 89 and Freeview 21.

SchoolsInc provides students with the opportunity to share their learning with their local and wider community. In this way it builds a bridge between the school and the home. Students film and edit their own movies and present the show as continuity announcers. From interesting lessons, sport, culture, role models, values based adverts, special projects, animations – SchoolsInc covers the diversity of school life. Set in the schools of Glen Innes and Panmure, SchoolsInc makes a huge contribution to the education in this decile 1A community.

It provides the students with a digital voice and an authentic audience. It creates an end point for learning – an ultimate tool to showcase the academic achievement of our Maori and Pacific Island youth!

Education is dependent on community involvement. Community productions work with a variety of community bodies to film and showcase their events. The business associations, cultural groups and local societies receive coverage. In this way students are given a sense of place and belonging.

To sustain this education initiative Community productions must rely also on it’s corporate portfolio. Work for the Ministry of Education, Fonterra, Vodafone Warriors, Accolades International Marketing, and Triangle Television form an important part of it’s core business.

Community Productions specializes in working with children. Its team all have personal have experience in the education field from primary to tertiary level. Filming occurs both on location or at its studio with has a full editing suites and blue screen facility.
